Lake Wobegon Trail Association
The Lake Wobegon Trail Association is a 501c3 non-profit organization originally founded to raise money to start the trail. It is funded by donations and proceeds from three annual cycling events.
Our purpose is to
- Promote and enhance the trail and the communities and businesses on the trail.
- Advocate for continued support of the trail locally, at the state level, and nationally.
- Work closely with the Stearns County Parks Department to keep the trail in good condition.
- Sponsor and organize three cycling events annually: The Caramel Roll Ride, Lady Slipper Ride and Caramel Apple Ride.
Attention Trail Lovers – let’s keep these rides going!!

We are in need of additional active board members to help manage the Lake Wobegon Trails Association. I have been involved with the association since the early 2000s and plan to retire by November 15th, 2024.
We are a great organization! The organization’s mission is to promote the Lake Wobegon Trails, the communities and businesses along the trails and to support Stearns County Parks in their efforts to maintain and improve the trails.
We have 3 successful events that have been around for a long time. The Caramel Roll Ride has been around for 25 years, and the Lady Slipper Nature Ride and the Caramel Apple Rides have been around for 13 years each. Please check it out and see how you can be a part of the trails association.
Cliff Borgerding,
President Lake Wobegon Trails Association
